2018 (Senior): Started all 52 games he played this season to finish his career with 211 games played which places him 10th in program history... earned Second-Team All-Mountain West honors after starting all 30 MW games at shortstop... hit .293 from the dish tallying 36 hits, eight doubles, two triples, one home run, 19 runs scored and 10 RBIs in MW action finishing with 11 multi-hit games, including four of the 'Dogs final five MW contests, and had three three-hit contests against San Jose State (April 13), at Nevada (May 5) and at home against UNLV (May 17)....finished third on the team with a .318 average and was one of three 'Dogs to lead the team with three triples... also ranked fourth on the team in hits (63), runs (32) and at-bats (198)... led the Mountain West and ranked 9th in the nation with 14 sacrifice bunts... swiped four stolen bases to finish his career with eight stolen bases....led the team with 10 hit by pitches which tied for 9th in the MW... added a .376 on-base percentage and a .424 slugging percentage...
2017 (Junior): Appeared in 59 of the 'Dogs 60 games making 57 starts at shortstop as a junior... Batesole hit .310 from the dish with 61 hits... added 18 extra-base knocks with nine doubles, four triples and five home runs... drove in 36 RBIs and scored 39 runs... totaled 93 bases on the season... tallied a .346 on-base percentage and a .472 slugging percentage on the season... led the Mountain West and ranked among the top 20 nationally in sacrifice bunts with 13... added two stolen bases... totaled 18 multi-hit games and scored multiple runs in nine contests... had a career-high four hits on March 18 in a 10-8 win over Air Force smacking a triple, scored two runs and drove in three RBIs... earned Academic All-Mountain West honors... also named a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
2016 (Sophomore): Batesole appeared in 56 of the 'Dogs 58 games as a sophomore... started 51 contests with 46 coming at shortstop and five at second base... hit .243 from the plate finishing the season with 43 hits (one double), 13 runs scored and 15 RBIs... had a .249 slugging percentage, .308 on-base percentage and a .955 fielding percentage... had 12 multi-hit games including a three-hit performance and scored a run in the 'Dogs 14-1 win over Air Force on Apr. 1... had a season-long eight game hitting streak from Apr. 16- Apr. 30... named Academic All-MW for second time... Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
2015 (Freshman): Appeared in 44 games for the Bulldogs as a freshman... made 33 starts on the year with 18 coming at shortstop and 15 at second base... hit .232 from the plate collecting 22 hits in 95 at-bats... drove in 13 RBI and scored seven runs... notched four doubles and a home run... recorded four multi-hit games... went 2-for-2 with his first career home run in a 5-4, 10-inning win over San Diego State on April 24... also collected two hits, including a RBI-single, the following day against the Aztecs... named Academic All-MW.
High School: A three-year letterman at Buchanan High School under head coach Tom Donald ... helped lead the Bears to a 25-8 record playing shortstop and second base - was the runner-up in the 2014 CIF Central Section Baseball Playoffs ... Buchanan was a top 25 ranked team in the state all year as Batesole started each game.
Personal: Son of head coach Mike Batesole, and Susie Batsole ... has three siblings - Kody, Kassy and Kally ... also enjoys golf, basketball and football ... favorite athlete is Allen Iverson because of his charisma ... favorite baseball moment in high school was his walk-off hit in the CIF semifinals as a senior ... chose Fresno State for its environment and teammates ... is a pre-athletic training major at Fresno State.
