2020 (Redshirt Junior): Did not compete.
2019 (Redshirt Sophomore): Jones made 18 relief appearances on the mound as a redshirt sophomore... posted a 1-1 record record with a win over Pacific on April 23 and suffered a loss at Oregon on April 6... posted a 2.84 ERA... tossed 12.2 innings... struck out seven... walked eight... only allowed 14 hits and four earned runs... held opponents to a .286 average from the plate... tossed a season-high 2.0 innings against the Tigers in an 11-3 win on April 23 limiting Pacific to two hits and struck out one... struck out a season-best two in the 'Dogs season-opening win over Utah Valley on Feb. 16 in 1.1 innings of work.
2018 (Redshirt Freshman): Jones made 19 relief appearances on the mound for the 'Dogs as a redshirt freshman... posted a 1-0 record with a 5.03 ERA.... threw 19.2 innings while striking out 14 and issued only five walks on the season.... held opponents to a .247 average from the plate... picked up his first win as a Bulldog in the season finale against UNLV pitching a perfect ninth inning as the 'Dogs rallied back from a 8-4 deficit to score three runs in the bottom of the ninth for a walk-off win over the Rebels.
2017 (Freshman): Redshirted his first season at Fresno State.
High School: A 2016 graduate of Capitol Christian High School in Sacramento, Jones was named the Division V Player of the Year as well as the California Junior Player of the Year in 2015... Earned First-Team All-State, All-City and All-League honors as a junior... helped lead the Cougars to four straight Division V baseball championships... as a senior in 2016, he went 5-3 with a 1.84 ERA on the mound tossing 49.1 innings striking out 82 while only allowing 13 earned runs and limited opponents to a .197 batting average... earned the Capitol Christian HS team MVP as a sophomore in 2014 and was an Academic All-League selection....was also a basketball standout helping the Cougars to three Division V championships, two NorCal state titles and was a Second-Team All-City selection.
Personal: Son of Shana & Devon Jones... has two brothers, Isaiah & Myles and one sister, Mila... enjoys playing sports and listening to music... lists winning championships with his teammates in high school as his biggest athletic thrill... choose Fresno State because of the Valley pride and being welcomed by teammates... major at Fresno State is business.
