- Johnson comes to Fresno State after spending the 2021 season at Riverside City College. Prior to his time at Riverside CC, he spent two seasons at Southern Utah (2018-19). He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
- Totaled 45 tackles in 13 games played at Riverside CC. He added one fumble recovery, two interceptions and 11 broken up passes.
- Led team to California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championship game in 2021.
- Was named the conference defensive player of the week following his Riverside CC debut.
- Riverside City College teammate with fellow Bulldog signee Anthony LaFrance (OL).
- At Southern Utah, Johnson appeared in four games in 2018 and utilized a redshirt season. In 2019, he played in all 12 games and finsihed with 32 tackles and a team-high three interceptions.
