- Named the 2021 Washington State High School Gatorade Football Player of the Year. He also earned the same recognition of player of the year by MaxPreps.
- A three-year varsity quarterback, Wood threw for 3,315 yards and 43 touchdowns in his career. He averaged 144.1 passing yards per game while completing 215-of-309 attempts.
- As a senior, Wood played in 14 games, and threw for 2,228 yards and 31 touchdowns. He completed 151-of-212 passes for a .712 completion percentage.
- Was a dual-threat quarterback, adding 65 carries for 612 yards and 10 touchdowns in the run game as a senior.
