High School: Played defensive tackle for Oakdale HS … led the team to a CIF State Bowl victory in 2016 … was a part of a defensive team who did not allow a point over their final six quarters of the season and scored three defensive touchdowns, all pick-six returns by linebackers … led his team to a 12-2 overall record and 7-0 league mark as a senior … entering his junior season, Kjeldgaard was named as one of the top defensive linemen in the “Tops in the 209” by Black Hat Football … was ranked as the 13th-best returning player by the Fresno Bee entering his senior season in 2017 … had two sacks and a fumble recovery in a shutout win over Kimball during his senior season … also wrestled in high school and advanced to the Sac Joaquin Section Masters in 2016 and 2015.
