2018 (Senior): Named an All-Mountain West Second-Team selection ... started all 14 games – started at the right guard position for the final nine games while starting at center for the first five games … capped career starting a team-best 43 straight games … led an offensive line unit that saw the offense produce 2,161 yards on the ground for 31 touchdowns and 3,740 yards through the air – the most since 2013 – for 26 touchdowns over the course of the season … the offense produced 421.5 yards per game and 34.6 points per game … the unit held six opponents without a sack over the season’s 14 games … the unit ranked sixth in the FBS in sacks allowed per game (0.86) and ranked fifth in the FBS in tackles for loss allowed per game (3.86) ... named to the Fall Academic All-Mountain West team.
2017 (Junior): Started all 14 games (at right guard), extending his streak to 29 consecutive games started … member of an offensive line unit that ranked third in the nation in sacks allowed, having allowed just 10 sacks all season, a clip of 0.71 per game … the unit ranked third in the nation in tackles for loss allowed, having allowed 46 TFLs, a rate of 3.29 TFLs allowed per game … the offensive line helped hold six opponents without a sack over the season’s 14 games while the maximum allowed was two, recorded by Alabama (Sept. 9) and Boise State (Dec. 2) ... the Fresno State offensive line didn’t allow a tackle for loss in a crucial 27-3 win over San Diego State, marking the first time a Fresno State O-line did not allow a tackle for loss in a game since Sept. 10, 2011 at Nebraska … the Bulldogs, who averaged 155.0 yards on the ground, ran for 2,170 yards on the season – the most since 2014 ... earned academic all-Mountain West honors.
2016 (Sophomore): Started all 12 games at right guard, upping consecutive starts to 15-straight dating back to redshirt freshman season – third-most consecutive starts heading into the 2017 season … helped lead a rushing attack that gained 1,394 yards on the ground, led by starting running back Dontel James’ 697 yards … blocked for a passing game that produced 2,557 yards through the air ... the starting line unit limited opponents to 2.58 sacks per game.
2015 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in nine games and made five starts for the Bulldogs at right guard ... in his five starts he helped the offense average 346.4 yards of offense, 154.0 of that coming on the ground, and 25.6 points per game.
2014 (Freshman): Walked on to the team and redshirted ... was granted a scholarship after spring practices in 2015.
High School: Two-way player on the offensive and defensive lines for coach Mike Clark at Eisenhower High School ... helped lead team to Citrus Belt League championships during his junior and senior seasons of 2012 and 2013 ... named All-State as a junior, All-CIF as a senior and All-Citrus Belt League as both a junior and a senior ... played all across the offensive line in prep career at center, guard and tackle ... registered 4.5 sacks as both a junior and a senior out of the nose guard position on defense ... was a four-year honor roll student in high school.
