Bulldog Bones
• After consecutive home losses, Fresno State hit the road for the first time last weekend, winning the LMU Thanksgiving Classic with wins over Belmont and UC Irvine to continue its up-and-down trend in November during the past three seasons. The 'Dogs are 8-8 in November since the start of the 2014-15 season.
• Junior Bego Faz Davalos was named Mountain West Player of the Week, the third weekly honor of her career, after being named the LMU Thanksgiving Classic Tournament MVP.
• Faz Davalos tied her career high in scoring with 24 points against Belmont. Along with 12 rebounds, the junior recorded her 19th career double-double, and third of the season.
• With 10 blocks during the tournament, Faz Davalos kept her lead as the nation's top shot blocker at 5.0 blocks per game.
• Against UC Irvine, sophomore Candice White posted career highs in both scoring (21) and rebounding (7).
• Faz Davalos (15.8) and White (13.4) are the Bulldogs' only players in double figures. The two are averaging a combined 29.2 points per game, nearly half of Fresno State's 61.6 points per game.
Series History with San Francisco
• Fresno State is 14-17 all-time against San Francisco.
• The two teams last met on March 19, 2015 at the Save Mart Center as the Bulldogs defeated the Dons 79-73 in the first round of the 2015 Women's National Invitational Tournament.
• Fresno State has won five of the last six meetings with the only loss during that span coming at home in 2013 (76-47).
• The 'Dogs are 9-6 all-time when playing at home in the series.
A Look at San Francisco
• San Francisco is 4-2 on the year with its two losses coming against teams from the Pac-12 (Cal, 75-52; Washington State, 73-35). Both losses were the team's only true road games this season.
• The Dons ran 16th nationally in defensive rebounds per game with 32, and is ranked 82nd in total rebounds per game (42.50). While they lead the West Coast Conference in rebounds, no player on the San Francisco roster averages more than 4.7 rebounds per game.
• USF returns three starters from last year's team which won the WCC tournament championship, although its two losses were first team All-WCC selection Taylor Proctor and All-WCC second team performer Zhane Dikes. The two averaged 28.5 points per game during the 2015-16 season.
• The Dons' top returner is Rachel Howard who earned All-WCC honor mention accolades. Howard is currently USF's top scorer at 14.5 points per game.
• Michaela Rakova is the team's second-leading scorer at 8.8 points per game. Two years ago, as a freshman, Rakova came off of the bench to post 16 points and nine rebounds against the Bulldogs in the first round of the WNIT.
Taking charity
• Sophomore Candice White (18-of-18) is tied for the national lead in free-throw percentage.
• As of Nov. 29, 12 players are tied for No. 1 in the NCAA in free-percentage.
• White's 18 consecutive free throws is the most on record to start a season by a Bulldog dating back to the 1983-84 season. Records not available prior to 1983-84 season.
• Her streak is tied for the 4th-longest as three players are tied at 21-of-21.
Same player, new year
• It may be another year but junior Bego Faz Davalos is looking like her old self early in the season. Through five games, the center's numbers are on par or slightly up from last season as she is averaging 15.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 5.0 blocks, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals.
• Faz Davalos leads the Bulldogs in points, rebounds, blocks, assists and is second steals.
• She ranks 22nd nationally in double-doubles with three and is tied for fifth in program history with 19. With a double-double on Wednesday, she would move into a tie for fourth at Fresno State with Janee Young.
Access denied
• Bego Faz Davalos currently leads the NCAA in blocked shots per game (5.0).
• On Nov. 18 versus CSUN, the 6-foot-3 center tied her career high with 10 blocks. Both 10-block games resulted in triple-doubles.
• She has six more blocks this season than she did last year through the first five games.
• Faz Davalos' 25 blocks ranks third in the NCAA in total blocks.
• Her 3.57 blocked shots per game in her career is second among NCAA active leaders.
• With Faz Davalos' help, the 'Dogs rank No. 12 in the NCAA in blocks per game (6.6) and No. 24 in total blocks (33).
Tough sledding in November
• During the past three seasons, November has been the toughest month for head coach Jaime White. Heading into Wednesday matchup with San Francisco, Fresno State is 8-8 during the month of November, during the past three seasons, its lowest winning percentage of any month under White.
• The Bulldogs have only lost four times during the month of December under White, and are a perfect 15-0 during the month of January.
Holding teams in check
• Fresno State ranks No. 33 in the NCAA in scoring defense, allowing 54.8 points per game. The Bulldogs have not allowed a team to score more than 65 points this season, and in their three wins have held opponents below 53 points.
