• Saturday's Fresno State vs. Wyoming contest will mark the 11th all-time meeting in a series that is tied, 5-5. The 'Dogs won their last trip to Laramie 48-10 in 2013.
• Fresno State is one win from clinching a berth to its third Mountain West Championship game in the five seasons since its inception; the 'Dogs represented the West Division in the inaugural championship game in 2013, and again in 2014.
• The Bulldogs, who have compiled a 7-3 record this year, have the nation's best win improvement (+6).
• Tedford does it again: the last time Fresno State flipped the script and improved one season to the next by six wins was in 1982 when Jeff Tedford was the Bulldogs' senior quarterback. As a first-year player as a junior the 'Dogs won five games in 1981, the following year he guided them to an 11-win season.
• Since holding Hawai'i to 272 yards of total offense last time out, Fresno State's defense has now held four of its 10 opponents under 300 yards of total offense.
• What gives: Wyoming ranks No. 1 in the nation in turnovers gained while Fresno State ranks No. 9 in turnovers lost.
• With 32 consecutive games with at least one reception, KeeSean Johnson is among a group of 15 individuals in the nation that carries a streak more than 30 games.
• Fresno State ranks No. 2 in sacks allowed; sitting behind Army nationally, a team that has passed it 57 times vs. 582 rushing attempts this season.
• Didn't see that coming: Wyoming ranks last (12th) in the MW and 127th in the nation in total offense (277.8 yards/game); QB Josh Allen owns a team-high five rushing touchdowns.
