'Dogs host Colorado State on Breast Cancer Awareness Day

• Saturday is Fresno State's annual Breast Cancer Awareness game. Fans who wear pink will receive free admission to the game.
• Fresno State will be honoring the Susan G. Komen Group and Sisterhood of Survivors on the court, as well as breast cancer survivors at during halftime.
• Pink Bulldog Breast Cancer Awareness shirts will be given away throughout the game.
Bulldog Bones
• Junior Bego Faz Davalos ranks in the top 15 in the NCAA in seven stat categories. The 6-foot-3 center ranks fourth in the country in blocks per game (3.7), second in total blocks (86), third in triple-doubles (1) fifth in double-doubles (16), 10th in rebounds per game (11.2), 11th in defensive rebounds per game (8) and 2th in total rebounds (258). She also ranks 49th in field-goal percentage (52.7).
• Faz Davalos 16 double-doubles is two more than previous single-season program record which she set during the 2015-16 season, and she is currently four shy of tying the Mountain West record.
• Faz Davalos is one of seven players in the NCAA to average at least 14 points and 11 rebounds.
• Faz Davalos leads the Bulldogs in points (14.8), rebounds (11.2) and blocks (3.7). She is second in steals (1.5) and assists (2.0).
• After struggling during the opening three games of the conference season, not reaching double figures in each contest, Faz Davalos has since broken out by averaging 15.4 points and 12.4 rebounds per game during the following nine games.
• Sophomore Candice White is second on the team in points (14.6) and rebounds (5.4) is pacing the team in steals (1.6).
• In the last nine games, Tory Jacobs has taken more of a role in finding open teammates as she is averaging 3.6 assists per game during the stretch.
• In the Bulldogs seven conference wins, the team has outscored opponents by 94 points during the second half and 59 during just the third quarter.
• Fresno State is eighth nationally in least committed fouls. The 'Dogs commit just 13.4 personal fouls per game.
Series history with Colorado State
• Colorado State holds a 13-7 edge over Fresno State in the all-time series.
• The Bulldogs have won six straight games against Wyoming in Fresno and are 8-2 all-time at home.
• The Rams have won three straight contests.

A look at Colorado State
• Colorado State enters Saturday's game with an 18-6 record overall and sit atop the conference at 10-2.
• Five of CSU's six losses this season have come on the road.
• The Rams saw their nine-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night at Utah State, 55-48.
• The Rams return 2016 MW Player of the Year Ellen Nystrom. The senior has taken over more scoring role this season, pacing CSU with 15.0 points per game to go along with 7.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
• Nystrom's four-year running mate, Elin Gustavsson, also returns and is the Rams' other player averaging double digits at 12.7 per game. The foward has stepped up during her final conference season as her scoring has increased from 9.8 during non-conference play to 15.6 in league play.
• Colorado State ranks at the top of the conference defensively and is one of the best in the NCAA, leading the MW in scoring defense (52.0), field goal percentage defense (32.7), 3-point percentage defense (26.5), and is second in steals (8.6). CSU ranks No. 2 nationally in field goal percentage defense, No. 4 is scoring defense, No. 11 in 3-point field-goal defense and is No. 15 in defensive rebounds (29 rpg). With the strong defensive play, CSU rarely fouls its opponents, ranking No. 12 in the NCAA in the fouls committed per game at just 13.5.
• Offensively, the Rams take care of the ball, averaging just 12.2 turnovers per game which ranks ninth nationally.
Dynamic duo
• Fresno State's offense has been led this year by the duo of junior Bego Faz Davalos and sophomore Candice White. The two are averaging a combined 29.4 points per game, nearly half of the team's total offense.
• The two rank as the third-highest scoring duo in the Mountain West behind San Jose State's Dezz Ramos and Jasmine Smith (33.5) and New Mexico's Cherise Beynon and Richelle Van Der Kiejl (30.1).
• The Bulldogs are 13-5 on the year when both score in double figures, but are 1-4 when one or both does not hit the mark.
Chasing 60
• With the strength of Jaime White's teams being on the defensive side of the ball, a benchmark for its offense has been to score 60 points. Under White, Fresno State has won 74.5 percent of those games (41-14). The Bulldogs' record when scoring between 60-69 points is 26-11.
• This season, the 'Dogs are 12-1 when scoring more than 60 points, with only loss coming at Boise State on Jan. 14 in a one-point contest.
Holding teams down
• The Bulldogs have held its opponents to 60 points or less in 11 of its 14 wins.
• Only three teams have scored more than 70 points against the 'Dogs this season (Washington, 85; New Mexico 80; San Jose State 74). Fresno State allowed four teams to score at least 80 points during the 2015-16 season. All four games resulted in losses. Washington scored the most of any Bulldog opponent that season (89).
Breaking 3-point curse
• During the past two seasons, Fresno State has struggled in the win column when making six or more 3-pointers. The Bulldogs' record in such games during the first two seasons under Jaime White was 10-11.
• The 'Dogs have seemingly reversed the trend this year by holding a 8-2 record when knocking down at least six 3's with both losses coming on the road in their last two games.
Erasing deficits
• Heading into its last game of nonconference play, Fresno State was 0-3 when trailing at the half. The Bulldogs reversed that trend at Weber State, turning a six-point halftime deficit into a three-point win.
• Fresno State is 6-5 when trailing at the half since the Weber State contest and is 18-21 under Jaime White.
• Since the start of conference play, Fresno State has outscored its opponents by 54 points in the third quarter (+4.5) and is plus-71 in the second half.
• Against Nevada (Jan. 21), Fresno State outscored the Wolf Pack by 22 in the second half, its largest margin in a second half versus a Division I opponent since Washington State on Nov. 30, 2012 (+27).
Same player, new year
• It may be another year but junior Bego Faz Davalos hadn't seen a drop off from last year. Through 23 games, the center's numbers are on par from last season as she is averaging 14.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.7 blocks, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals.
• Faz Davalos leads the Bulldogs in points, rebounds and blocks, and is second in assists and steals.
• She has recorded at least four blocked shots in 10 games this season.
Doubling up
• She ranks third nationally in double-doubles with 16 and is second in program history with 32.
• With 16 double-doubles this season, she set a new single-season program record, breaking her own which she set during the 2015-16 season with 14.
• Faz Davalos is nearing the Mountain West single-season record which sits at 20 by Linda Froehlich of UNLV (1999-2000).
Time to shine
• After playing in 11 games as a freshman, and logging 6.3 minutes per game, Candice White leads team in minutes (32.8) and points (14.6), and is second in rebounds (5.4).
• The sophomore also paces the team in steals (1.6) and has swiped three or more steals in seven games, including a career-high five against CSU Dominguez Hills.
• She has reached double figures in scoring in 19 of 23 games.
• White has recorded three of the team's 10 20-point scoring performances this season, including a career-high 25 points at Nevada and 21-point games versus UC Irvine and CSU Dominguez Hills.
• The 25-point effort (9-of-13) was the most points by a Bulldog since Alex Sheedy scored 25 points against Wyoming on Feb. 25, 2015.
• In conference, White ranks first in free-throw percentage (.888), sixth in 3-point percentage (.393) and 3-point field goals made per game (1.9), seventh in scoring (14.6) and steals (1.6), and eighth in field-goal percentage (.466) and minutes played (32.8).
Taking charity
• Prior to missing three free throws versus CSU Dominguez Hills, sophomore Candice White ranked fourth nationally in free-throw percentage. She is currently No. 14 at 88.8 percent (71-of-80).
• White opened the season with 18 consecutive free throws which is the most on record to start a season by a Bulldog dating back to the 1983-84 season. Records are not available prior to the 1983-84 season.
• Still with six regular-season games remaining, in site for White is Jessie Farias' single-season school record for free-throw percentage which stands at 86.5 percent.
• Long term is Staci Oddo's career record at 81.7 percent (min. 160 attempts). White currently sits at 87.5 percent with just over half of the minimum required attempts.
