Bulldog Bones                                                                                              Â
• Candice White ranks second in the conference in scoring at 17.6 points per game. The junior has scored in double figures in 17 of 19 games this season and has posted six games with 20 or more, and two with at least 30. In league play she is averaging 20.3 per game which ranks second.

• Four Bulldogs are averaging over 30 minutes per game in conference play. White leads the team at 34.0 minutes per appearance.
• Three indicators for success this season for the Bulldogs are holding opponents under 40 percent shooting (8-0), outrebounding opponents (7-0) and Fresno State's starters outscoring their counterparts (7-0).
Fresno State vs. Utah State                                                                         Â
• The Bulldogs are 18-3 all-time against the Aggies.
• Utah State won last season's only matchup with Fresno State, defeating the 'Dogs 52-47 on Jan. 28, 2017 but Fresno State got its revenge earlier this month, defeating the Aggies 57-56 after taking the lead on a pair of free throws with nine seconds remaining.
• Fresno State has won 17 of the last 18 games in the series.
• The Bulldogs are 7-2 all-time in Logan, Utah.
A look at Utah State                                                                                     Â
• Utah State is 4-15 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
• The Aggies are coming off of a 57-50 defeat at the hands of Air Force in Colorado.
• Sophomore Olivia West leads Utah State in scoring and ranks 14th in the conference with 12.7 points per game. Junior Rachel Brewster is also average double figures for the Aggies at 10.3.
• Center Shannon Dufficy ranks fourth in the conference in rebounding with 8.1 per contest.
Winning close                                                                                              Â
Despite being one of the youngest teams in the country entering the season, Fresno State has gone against the grain when in tight games. The Bulldogs are 6-2 in games decided by 10 points or less, and are 4-0 in games decided by three or less as its youthful core has not wavered in crunch time.
• In each of their four wins that have been by three points or less (Montana, Weber State, Utah State, UNLV), the Bulldogs have trailed midway through the fourth quarter and games have been tied with under four minutes to play.
• In conference play, the 'Dogs have twice taken a lead in the final 10 seconds to win games. Candice White knocked down a pair of free throws versus Utah State with nine seconds to play to secure the win on Jan. 3. At UNLV, Aly Gamez hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer on Jan. 24.
Three a key                                                                                                  Â
Since conference play has started, an indicator in Fresno State's success has been how it has guarded the 3-point line. Leading the league in conference games in 3-point percentage defense at 25.8 percent, the Bulldogs have not allowed a Mountain West opponent to shoot better than 28 percent from 3 in any of their five wins. On the contrary, two of their three losses have come when allowing opponents to shoot above 38 percent from 3.
• The Bulldogs held Utah State to 6.7 percent (1-of-15) and Colorado State to 18.5 percent (5-of-27), the lowest and third-lowest percentages for an opponent this season.
• Fresno State has allowed the second-least amount of made 3-pointers in conference play (41).
• The 5.1 made 3's per game is second in the MW to Wyoming which is allowing 3.9 per game.
Highlights gaining national attention                                                          Â
Despite not having any of its games televised on national TV, Fresno State has twice found itself in the spotlight on ESPN, as the Bulldogs have found a home on SportsCenter's Top 10.
• On Dec. 7, Maddi Utti found herself checking in at No. 9 after hitting a half-court buzzer beater at the end of the third quarter versus Pacific.
• On Jan. 24, Aly Gamez joined her fellow freshman teammate on SC Top 10 as her 3-pointer at the buzzer to defeat UNLV also checked in at No. 9.
Big things come in small packages                                                             Â
Standing just 5-foot-6, freshman point guard Aly Gamez has proved that she is more than capable to not just be a spark offensively, but a primary option alongside junior Candice White in the backcourt. Since taking over as the starting point guard on Nov. 30, Gamez has been a catalyst for the team picking up nine wins as she has averaged 9.3 points per game and is shooting 44.5 percent from the field (57-of-128) and 45.8 from 3 (27-of-59) on the year.
• Since Dec. 10, Gamez has posted seven double-digit performances in 11 games.
• In the Bulldogs' 3-point win over Weber State to end the nonconference season, Gamez exploded for 11 of her season-high 18 points in the opening quarter.
• In Fresno State's first two home games in league play, Gamez came up clutch, providing five unanswered points with under three minutes to go versus Utah State to pull the 'Dogs with one, and followed that up with 3-pointers at the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth quarter after Fresno State's lead was cut to two with 24 seconds remaining in the third.
• She again put up 11 points in a quarter, dropping three 3's in two-minute span during the first quarter at Boise State.
• Gamez's biggest game though came at UNLV as the freshman shot 9-of-11, 6-of-6 from 3, as she scored 25 points and drained two 3-pointers in the final 7.2 seconds, including the game-winner at the buzzer, as the 'Dogs overcome a four-point deficit.
Unquestioned leader                                                                                    Â
In her third season at Fresno State, and second as a starter, Candice White has become the unquestioned leader for the Bulldogs through her work ethic and production on the court. Whether it's been calmly sinking one free throw after another or exploding for double-digit points in a quarter, White has been the engine that has helped Fresno State run this season. As of Jan. 24, the junior ranks second in the Mountain West in scoring at 17.6 points per game and has tallied double figures in 17 of 19 games.
• In 2016-17, White's 489 points scored was the 10th-most in a single season at Fresno State. She is currently on pace to eclipse the 1,000-point mark for her career this season.
• In the Bulldogs' game at CSUN on Dec. 2, White poured in a career-high 34 points, the first 30-point game for a 'Dog since Raven Fox scored 31 at San Diego on Nov. 28, 2014. The total was two shy of the program record for points in a game.
• On Dec. 20, White twice scored the go-ahead points versus Weber State, including knocking down the game-winning 3-pointer in a tie game with 2.1 seconds on the clock.
• On three occasions this season, White has scored 20-plus points in a half.
• White has posted two games with at least 30 points (CSUN, Boise State).
• White sits second in the NCAA in free-throw percentage at 96.3 (78-of-81).
