Bulldog Bones  Â
Through their first four games, the Bulldogs had played just one game in Fresno which makes playing two this week at the Save Mart Center a welcomed occurrence. Fresno State will play six of its first nine games this season away from home.
- The six games is the most away from home during the first nine games of a season since the Bulldogs played seven of the first nine games outside of Fresno to start the 2009-10 season.
Sure-handed  Â
Despite a season-high 14 turnovers last weekend at Portland, Fresno State had a season-low six two days ago against BYU. The Bulldogs  rank fourth in the NCAA in fewest turnovers per game, committing 10.2 per game. Â
- With three guards who can run the point, the 'Dogs expect to be below the 14.3 turnovers that they averaged a season ago.
- Fresno State leads the MW and ranks No. 31 in the NCAA with a 1.29 assist-turnover ratio.
Let it fly   Â
With a smaller lineup, it's no wonder that Fresno State has opted to the let the shots fly from deep this year. The struggle though is that they haven't dropped in at a higher enough rate. The Bulldogs have taken the 27th-most attempts in the nation (127) but have only made the 73rd-most (34). Making just 6.8 per game (113th), Fresno State is shooting 26.8 percent (270th).
- Against a much taller BYU team, the Bulldogs attempted a season-high 32 attempts  but shot just 21.9 percent.
- Fresno State has shot below 22 percent from 3 in its two losses.
Three from the bench  Â
Sixteen of Fresno State's 34 made 3-pointers this season have come from players who have come off of the bench. Percentages have also been better from those coming into games fresh off the bench as well. Last time out, Kendyll Kinzer sank 3-of-4 attempts in seven minutes of action. The freshman's 40 percent (4-of-10) ranks second on the team to senior Jordanna Porter's 50 percent (6-of-12). Bree Delaney is third at 36.4 percent (4-of-11).
- Non-starters have shot 16-of-39 (41.0 percent) from 3 while starters have combined to shoot 18-of-88 (20.5 percent).
Perimeter fence   Â
While the Bulldogs have struggled to hit their perimeter shots to start the year, they haven't allowed opponents to fair any better. Fresno State has held teams to the 29th-lowest 3-point percentage in the NCAA as opponents have shot just 22.5 percent from deep.Â
- Fresno State held Montana to 0-of-12 from beyond the arc, the Bulldogs' first opponent to not make a 3-pointer in a game since Hawai'i went 0-of-9 on Jan. 28, 2012.
