A look at the Nevada Wolf Pack                       Â
Nevada comes into this weekend's Mountain West series against the Bulldogs with a 25-20 overall mark and currently sit in fifth place in the MW with a 11-13 mark.
The Wolf Pack are 11-10 at home and will host their final home series of the season against the 'Dogs. Winning five of its last six home contests, Nevada has MW home series wins this season over New Mexico and UNLV while falling to Air Force and San Diego State.
Nevada, winners of nine of its last 12 games since April 13, are hitting .277 as a team and are averaging 5.9 runs per game, both marks good for fourth in the conference.
Junior outfielder Jaylon McLaughlin leads the team with a .358 average, fifth in the MW, from the plate and has a team-leading 54 hits along with 22 stolen bases (second in the MW). Sophomore infielder Joshua Zamora, the 2018 MW Freshman of the Year, is hitting .316 from the dish with 12 doubles, eight home runs and 36 RBI as a sophomore.
On the mound, the Wolf Pack have a staff ERA of 4.82, third in the MW, while its 2.05 strikeout-to-walk ratio (330 K/161 BB) ranks second in the league.
Opponents are hitting a collective .276 as a team while averaging 5.6 runs and 9.7 hits per game.Â
The Wolf Pack weekend rotation of junior left-hander Ryan Anderson and freshman right-hander Owen Sharts have combined for seven wins.

Bulldogs sit atop the MW standings/RPI
The 'Dogs enter the weekend a MW-leading No. 62 in the RPI and remain atop the Mountain West standings at 12-7-1 (.625) sitting in front of second-place San Jose State (12-9, .571) and third-place San Diego State (11-9, .550).Â
The Bulldogs' remaining opponents' RPI rankings for the remainder of the regular season are Nevada (122), CSU Bakersfield (240), San Diego State (72) and UNLV (114).
'Dogs and Lobos play to a 6-6 tie
For the first time since 1998, the Diamond 'Dogs experienced a tie on Sunday with a 6-6 draw against the Lobos as New Mexico had to depart back to Albuquerque due to a travel curfew. It is Fresno State's first tie since Feb. 8, 1998 when the 'Dogs tied Long Beach State, 7-7 in 12 innings.
It is only the fifth tie in the 4,201 games played in Fresno State baseball history joining two in 1984, one in 1986 and one in 1998.
'Dogs continuing to have midweek success
The Bulldogs have found great success in midweeks this season sporting a 7-1 record this season with wins over San Francisco, Pacific (2x), CSU Bakersfield (2x) and Cal Poly (2x) to go with a loss at then-No. 2 Stanford on April 2. The 'Dogs will host their final midweek game on Tuesday vs. CSUB.
Jensen & Moore looking to finish the season strong
Junior right-hander Davis Moore suffered his first loss of the season on April 27 against New Mexico to fall to 6-1 on the season.Â
Combined with Ryan Jensen's seven wins and three regular season starts remaining, the pair can become the first two Bulldog starting pitchers to post nine or more wins in the regular season since Ricky Tyler Thomas (9) and Jimmy Lambert (10) in 2016.

2019 Mountain West Tournament preview
Closing in on a MW tournament berth, the Bulldogs will get a look at the facility for the 2019 MW Tournament which will be hosted at Peccole Park, May 23-26.
The 'Dogs played the 2015 MW Tournament in Reno winning their first two games before falling to New Mexico and San Diego State to close out the tournament.
Bulldog pitching staff continues to dominant
The 'Dogs lead the MW in ERA (3.87), earned runs allowed (155), hits allowed (359), doubles allowed (51), triples allowed (4), home runs allowed (25) and saves (15).
In addition, the 'Dogs have given up three runs or less in 17 of its 41 games and are 15-2 in those contests.
'Dogs off to second-best start after 41 games under Coach Batesole
The Bulldogs are 27-13-1 (.671) overall and their 27 wins over the first 41 games of the season are only surpassed by 2011 (31) and tied with 2006 (27) for most wins to this point in the season. Each of those seasons saw Fresno State win the WAC regular season and conference tournament titles along with earning NCAA Tournament berths.
Arias named to NCBWA Stopper of the Year Midseason Update
Sophomore left-hander Jaime Arias has been named to the Midseason Update for the 15th annual NCBWA Stopper of the Year on April 24. Given annually to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball, Arias is one of 45 pitcher nationally and three pitchers from the Mountain West on the Midseason Update.
Bins named to Buster Posey Award Watch List
Junior catcher Carter Bins was named to the Buster Posey Award Watch List on April 2 which is given to the nation's top division one collegiate catcher by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission.
Ashford named a Senior CLASS Award Candidate
Senior outfielder Zach Ashford has been named a candidate for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award, the organization announced on March 22. Thirty NCAA baseball student-athletes who excel both on and off the field were selected as candidates for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award in collegiate baseball and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. The 10 finalists for the award were named on April 10, but Ashford unfortunately did not make the cut.
Batesole reaches 800 career win milestoneÂ
Head coach Mike Batesole reached career win number 800 on Feb. 16 in the Bulldogs' 6-3 season-opening win over Utah Valley at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium. Now in his 17th season at the helm of the Bulldogs this season, Batesole has won 570 games at Fresno State and 256 at CSUN from 1996-2002 for a total of 826 career wins.
In his career, Batesole has won at least 30 games in 19 of his 23 years as a Division I head coach and in 13 of his 16 seasons at Fresno State.
