'Dogs earn three wins against Trojans

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Despite giving up four forfeits and 24 team points, the Fresno State wrestling team tallied three victories on Sunday against Little Rock at the Mott Athletics Center on the campus of Cal Poly.
DJ Lloren (141 lbs.), Kyle Parco (149 lbs.) and Hunter Cruz (184 lbs.) all notched wins as Lloren and Cruz earned major decisions and Parco won by decision as all stayed perfect on the season.
Lloren tallied a takedown in each of the three periods as he improved to 4-0 on the season with a 9-0 victory over Conner Ward.
Parco, also moving to 4-0, followed up Lloren with a hard-fought 4-1 win over Kyle Prewitt using a first-period takedown and a two-point near fall to secure the victory.
Finally, Cruz defeated Tanner Mendoza, 10-2 using a late takedown and riding time to secure a major decision to move to 5-0 on the year.
Little Rock earned wins by forfeit at 125, 165, 174 and 197 pounds, a decision at 157 pounds and major decisions at 133 pounds and heavyweight.
Fresno State stays on the road on Saturday traveling to California Baptist (0-3).
