SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Belting a program record eight home runs, the Diamond 'Dogs dominated Sacramento State, 19-0 on Tuesday evening at John Smith Field.

Setting season highs in both runs (19) and hits (25), Fresno State (16-16) recorded base knocks from 12 different 'Dogs.

Josh Lauck, Ivan Luna and Nate Thimjon each smacked two home runs apiece while Andrew Kachel and Vinny Bologna added solo home runs.

Zach Morgan went 4-for-4 with a double, RBI and three runs scored with Luna adding two more hits for a four-hit performance, scored three runs and drove in five RBI.

On the pitching side, Trevor Garcia, Tommy Hopfe, Robbie Peters, Kyle Pruhsmeier and Cooper Bergman combined for the four-hit shutout.

Garcia worked the first four innings before giving way to Hopfe for two with Peters, Pruhsmeier and Bergman each tossing one inning apiece to round out the game.

How It Happened
The 'Dogs got the scoring started in the third with Kachel's solo home run to right-center before adding two more runs in the fourth on an RBI groundout by Bologna and an RBI single by Mason Grotto.

The scoring continued in the fifth for the 'Dogs with three more runs coming around getting a pair on Lauck's two-run bomb to right-center and Bologna's second RBI of the night came on a single to left field to put the 'Dogs up 6-0.

Five more runs came across in the sixth to extend the Bulldogs lead to 11-0 with a solo homer from Thimjon, a three-run shot by Luna and an RBI single by Morgan.

Continuing the offensive barrage, the 'Dogs drilled three more home runs in the seventh with two-run bombs from Lauck and Luna before a three-run long ball from Luna pushed the 'Dogs in front, 18-0.

Bologna added a solo home run in the ninth for the final score as the Bulldogs scored their most runs since hanging 27 on Nevada in Reno on April 23, 2017.
