Sharon Ayala broke the Fresno State 20-pound weight throw record Friday, en route to All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Ayala, a senior from Avenal, Calif., finished sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 66-feet, 6-inches (20.26 meters). Ayala had to surpass four nationally ranked opponents to move from her entering ranking of No. 10 to sixth in the nation.
