A look at the Oregon Ducks                       Â
Oregon comes into this weekend's series winners of its last four games after sweeping a three-game series at Utah last weekend and defeating Utah Valley by three runs prior to that.
The Ducks are 16-10 overall on the season with a 5-4 mark in Pac-12 play. Oregon is 8-4 at home, but only 2-4 in its last six games at PK Park after a 6-0 start at home.
Oregon was predicted to finish seventh in the conference's preseason poll and is led by 11th-year head coach George Horton who has amassed over 1,000 career wins in his collegiate coaching career.
Offensively, Oregon is hitting .266 as a club, good for seventh in the Pac-12, while ranking ninth in the league in scoring averaging 5.4 runs per game.Â
Junior infielder Spencer Steer leads the team with a .347 average from the plate and is joined by Gabe Matthews and Tanner Smith in hitting above .300 on the season. The Ducks lead the Pac-12 in both stolen bases (38) and hit by pitches (35).
On the mound, Oregon has a staff ERA of 5.12, eighth in the Pac-12, while its 1.67 strikeout-to-walk ratio (225 K/135 BB) ranks ninth in the league.
The Ducks will send a pair of right-handers and a southpaw to the mound to start this weekend. Freshman right-hander Tyler Frazier will get the start on Thursday making only his second start of the season and has only tossed 9.1 innings this season.Â

Final non-conference series of 2019
The Bulldogs' series with Oregon will be its final non-conference weekend of the season as the final six weekends of the regular season will see the 'Dogs play 21 Mountain West contests. The 'Dogs are 6-3 in non-conference weekend series this season winning two of three over Utah Valley, one at Tennessee and all three games of the Tony Gwynn Legacy Tournament in San Diego in February.
Bins named to Buster Posey Award Watch List
Junior catcher Carter Bins was named to the Buster Posey Award Watch List on Tuesday which is given to the nation's top division one collegiate catcher by the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission.
Davis Moore shines in 2-0 victory at San Diego State  Â
Junior right-hander Davis Moore was sensational last Saturday at San Diego State throwing a career-high 8.0 innings allowing only three hits, all singles, zero runs, one walk and six strikeouts.
With the win, the Rancho Cucamonga native improves to a Mountain West-best 5-0 and has a 4.03 ERA with 37 strikeouts in 38.0 innings.
Ashford & Tatum see on-base/hitting streaks come to an end
Ashford and Tatum both saw their respective streaks come to an end last weekend at San Diego State. Ashford went 0-for-4 on March 30 to see his 19-game on-base streak come to a close and a day later, Tatum went 0-for-5 to see his 14-game hitting streak finish.
Bulldogs to play six-game series against Air Force next weekend
In order to make-up the 'Dogs three-game series at Air Force that was canceled due to weather earlier in March, the 'Dogs and Falcons will play six games in three days in Fresno from April 12-14.

Ashford named a Senior CLASS Award Candidate
Fresno State Baseball senior outfielder Zach Ashford has been named a candidate for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award, the organization announced on March 22.
Thirty NCAA baseball student-athletes who excel both on and off the field were selected as candidates for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award in collegiate baseball. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Batesole reaches 800 career win milestone                              Â
Head coach Mike Batesole reached career win number 800 on Feb. 16 in the Bulldogs' 6-3 season-opening win over Utah Valley at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium. Now in his 17th season at the helm of the Bulldogs this season, Batesole has won 556 games at Fresno State and 256 at CSUN from 1996-2002 for a total of 812 career wins.
In his career, Batesole has won at least 30 games in 19 of his 23 years as a Division I head coach and in 13 of his 16 seasons at Fresno State.
