2018-19 (Redshirt Junior): Hokit went 15-12 overall while competing at both 157 & 165 pounds ... tallied a 8-6 mark in duals ... went 5-2 in Big 12 duals ... earned seven wins by decision, six major decisions, one technical fall and one fall ... earned No. 6 seed at 165 lbs. at the Big 12 Championship where he went 2-2 with decisions over Jacboy Ward (Air Force), 5-2 & Logan Peterson (SDSU), 6-3.
2017-18 (Redshirt Sophomore): Hokit went 15-14 in his first season as a Bulldog... tallied the fourth-most duals wins on the team with seven posting a 7-11 dual meet mark... went 0-4 in Big 12 duals... recorded five wins by decision, four falls, four major decisions and two technical falls... went 4-0 at the Bill Musick Memorial Open with two falls, a major decision and a 8-6 win in the finals over Victor Vargas... also recorded falls against Michael Lopouchanski (The Citadel) in 0:33 at the Reno Tournament of Champions and DJ Hollingshead (Bucknell) in 0:56 at the Virigina Duals... posted technical falls over Billy Bigelow (Oregon State) and Ryan Farina (Cal Poly)... ended his season with dual meet victories over Jared Hill (Stanford), 9-4 and Rodney Williams (Oregon State), 6-3 before suffering a season-ending injury.
Prior to Fresno State: Spent 2015-16 at Drexel where he redshirted for the Dragons posting a 9-8 record.
High School: Hokit was a 4-time CIF State Medalist at Clovis High School where he graduated in 2015... finished fifth at 152 lbs. as a senior... was third at 138 lbs. as a junior... took sixth at 113 lbs. as a sophomore and placed fourth at 106 lbs. as a freshman... was also a Flo Nationals High School All-American.
Personal: Son of Cristina and Seth Hokit... has two brothers, Josh and Scott... is an economics major at Fresno State.
Coach Steiner's comments: "As a Clovis High grad, Isaiah, spent last year out in Philly at Drexel University. Isaiah wanted to come home and be a Bulldog and that he is. This guy has got a huge heart, great work ethic, and he will not take a back seat to anyone."
