Fresno State softball player Christina Clark was named gobulldogs.com's Athlete of the Week for the week of March 8-15.

Clark, a sophomore shortstop, helped the Bulldogs to a 7-3 mark, including a pair of mercy run-rule wins and a Top 25 victory over No. 23 Oregon State, last week. In the process, she put up powerful numbers as she batted .500 (13-26) with nine runs, two doubles, a triple, five home runs, nine walks (two intentional) and 12 RBI. Clark collected 32 total bases for a 1.231 slugging percentage in 10 games while being walked nine times, including two intentional. Clark belted five home runs to move her season total to nine and her career total to 24 (fourth all-time at Fresno State and tied for No. 8 all-time in WAC history with former Bulldog All-American Kim Maher).

In the 10 games played, she had a hit in every game but two while reaching base safely in nine. While scoring at least one run in seven of the 10 games, she had three multiple hit games and three multiple RBI games.

In the Clovis Auto Row Softball Classic, in which Fresno State finished third, she hit .375 (6-16) with four runs, a double, two home runs, four RBI, six walks (two intentional) and 13 total bases for a .813 slugging percentage.
