2020-21 (Freshman): Went 2-3 at 149 pounds on the season ... earned a 5-2 win over No. 31 seed Cameron Hunsaker (Utah Valley) at the season-opening Cal Poly Round Robin ... also defeated Anthony Loera (California Baptist) by a major decision, 10-2 in an extra match in Riverside ... dropped three matches by decision, including two in duals against NDSU and West Virginia.
High School:Â Federico was a three-time placewinner in Class 1A at the Illinois State Tournament ... earned sixth place at 132 pounds as a sophomore in 2018 ...moved up to runner-up honors at 132 lbs. a year later as a junior in 2019 ... closed out his prep career in 2020 with a second consecutive runner-up finish at the state tournament moving up to 145 pounds ... also earned four section and regional crowns.
