Morgan Melloh picked up three more wins this week, earned her 20th win on the season and has now posted back-to-back 20 win seasons. With two shutouts on the week she now has 10 on the season. She had 10, 12, 12 and 13 strikeouts in her four starts and now has six-straight starts with 10 or more strikeouts. She now has 20 games on the season where she has 10 or more strikeouts. Entering the weekend she was just one strikeout behind the NCAA season leader and overtook Brianna Hassett of Minnesota Saturday night and now leads Hassett by five on the season. She has 339 on the season and on pace to break her school record of 454 her freshman year. Melloh has 793 strikeouts in her career and is looking to post back-to-back 400 strikeout seasons and become just the third Bulldog pitcher and the fourth WAC pitcher in history to amass 800 strikeouts in her career. Melloh's 9.4 strikeouts rank her 28th all-time in NCAA history and she is the youngest active pitcher on the list and only one of three active players in the top 30.
