Fresno State closes out home schedule
The 'Dogs wrapped up their home slate last weekend with three duals, including a pair of Big 12 duals. The Bulldogs defeated Air Force, 19-18 at home on criteria while falling to Iowa State, 34-9 and CSU Bakersfield, 26-10. Four 'Dogs knocked off nationall-ranked opponents as 165-pounder Adam Kemp and 174-pounder Brandon Martino defeated ranked foes from Iowa State while Gary Joint (133 lbs.) and Lawrence Saenz (141 lbs.) knocked off ranked foes from CSU Bakersfield.
'Dogs in Big 12 action
The 'Dogs are 8-9 in dual meet action in three seasons in the Big 12 after narrowly defeating Air Force and falling to No. 18 Iowa State last weekend. Fresno State recorded a pair of wins to start the season defeating Utah Valley, 24-19 on Jan. 2 and topped Northern Colorado, 25-15 on Nov. 30 in their Big 12 opener. Fresno State went 4-4 in 2018-19 and 1-5 in 2017-18 and is 5-4 overall in home Big 12 duals, 3-4 on the road and 0-1 at a neutral site.
Fresno State places third at 2020 Virginia Duals
The Bulldogs overcame an opening round loss to Maryland to defeat Duke, 50-0 before topping Old Dominion, 20-15 and Kent State, 16-15 to place third in the field on Jan. 11. Lloren, Cruz and Hokit all went 4-0 in the tournament as Hokit used a 13-3 major decision over Kent State's Spencer Berthold to complete the comeback win over the Golden Flashes.
Wright earns Big 12 Co-Wrestler of the Week
For the second time in program history, Fresno State Wrestling had a Big 12 Wrestler of the Week after Wright was named the Big 12 Co-Wrestler of the Week on Nov. 5 after going 3-0 at the AFC Duals/Battle on the Midway on Nov. 1 in San Diego.

Fresno State stays on the road next week traveling to Big 12 foe South Dakota State (8-5, 4-2 B12) on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Pledge for Pins
Pledges for pins is designed to help support the Fresno State Wrestling Program. Proceeds will benefit the Fresno State Wrestling Fund for Excellence along with a portion contributing to the Valley Regional Training Center -- a nonprofit organization that supports Fresno State Wrestling.
It works like this, for example, if you pledge $5 per pin and the team accumulates 40 pins during the season, your pledge will be $200. Throughout the season, pins and pledges will be recorded and a letter will be mailed with your pledge amount and payment information.

Copper - $1-10
Bronze - $11-20
Silver - $21-49
Gold - $50 & Up
