Sharon Ayala Named GoBulldogs.com Athlete of the Week

Fresno State Track and Field star Sharon Ayala has been named Gobulldogs.com Player of the Week. Ayala made her mark setting a new Fresno State school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 216 feet (65.84 meters) on the final day of the Mt. SAC relays. Ayala's throw shatters her previous record by more than 10 feet and puts her second in the nation. For her performance, Ayala was not only named Gobulldogs.com Player of the Week but also earned WAC Field Athlete of the Week honors.
