Olivas & Nevills grab No. 3 seeds heading into Big 12 Championships

The pre-seeding for the 2018 Big 12 Wrestling Championship was announced by the conference office on Monday morning as the 'Dogs Khristian Olivas and AJ Nevills enter the championships as No. 3 seeds in their respective weight classes.
IRVING, Texas - The pre-seeding for the 2018 Big 12 Wrestling Championships was announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
With the Championships set to be held this Saturday and Sunday, March 3-4, at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the field is now set as the Bulldogs will have a pair of highly seeded wrestlers.
Redshirt sophomore 149-pounder Khristian Olivas (25-5 overall) and freshman heavyweight AJ Nevills (26-7) will each enter the championships as the No. 3 seeds in their respective weight classes.
With the Big 12 allocated 45 automatic qualifiers to the 2018 NCAA Championships, each weight will qualify a different number of wrestlers as 125 pounds will receive seven qualifiers followed by five at 133 lbs., three at 141 lbs., five at 149 lbs., three at 157 lbs., six at 165 lbs., five at 174 lbs., four at 184 lbs and 197 lbs. and three at heavyweight.

197 lbs. - No. 11 Josh Hokit, So. (6-6)
285 lbs. - No. 3 AJ Nevills, Fr. (26-7)
