2019-20 (Redshirt Senior): Did not compete due to injury.
2018-19 (Redshirt Junior): 2019 NCAA Championships qualifier... finished sixth at the 2019 Big 12 Championship going 2-2 with a win over Dante Rodriguez (Northern Colorado), 9-8 in overtime and defeated No. 4 seed Christian Monserrat (West Virginia), 4-2 in the quarterfinals before falling to No. 1 seed Kaden Gfeller (Oklahoma State) in the semifinals... went 0-2 at the NCAA Championships falling to No. 12 seed Brady Berge (Penn State), 6-3 and No. 28 seed Michael Sprague (American), 3-2... recorded 21 wins, fourth-most on the team... tallied nine wins by decision, five falls, four technical falls, two major decisions and one win by forfeit... tied with Nevills for a team-high five pins with two falls apiece against both Mason Hulse (Northern Colorado) & Henry Pohlmeyer (South Dakota State) and one more against Da'mani Burns (Johnson & Wales).... went 12-5 in dual meets, tied for second-most on the team... posted a 6-2 mark in Big 12 duals... competed in 17 matches against 15 NCAA Tournament qualifiers posting a 6-11 record securing two wins over Pohlmeyer (South Dakota State) and one apiece against Christian Monserrat (West Virginia), Ryan Bless (Virginia Tech), Joshua Maruca (Arizona State) & Russell Rohlfing (CSUB)... fell to three eventual All-Americans, including national champion Anthony Ashnault (Rutgers) as well as Austin O'Connor (North Carolina) and Jarrett Degen (Iowa State)
2017-18 (Redshirt Sophomore): 2018 NCAA Championships qualifier.... finished second on the team with 27 wins... compiled a team-best 17-3 record in dual meets... went 5-1 in Big 12 duals... notched 10 wins by decision, second-most on team... tallied a team-best nine wins by major decisions... added five falls, one technical fall and two forfeits... defeated four ranked foes in No. 19 Eric Barone (Illinois), No. 16 Sam Turner (Wyoming), No. 19 Jarrett Degen & No. 14 Boo Lewallen (Oklahoma St.)... finished second at the Bill Musick Memorial Tournament with a 3-1 mark recording two falls and a 9-5 win over Aaron Negrette (Cerritos) before falling to Dylan Martinez (FCC), 3-2 in sudden victory... posted a 6-1 mark at the Reno Tournament of Champions winning two matches by fall, two wins by decision, one major decision and one forfeit... went 1-2 in the Big 12 Championships with a 16-8 major decision victory over Colten Carlson (South Dakota State) and fell to Davion Jeffries (Oklahoma) in sudden victory and to Dane Robbins (Air Force)... nabbed one of the five wild card spots at 149 pounds to qualify for the NCAA Championships where he went 1-2 with a 11-9 win over Jeffries and fell to No. 9 seed Max Thorsen (Northern Iowa), 13-5 and by technical fall to No. 7 seed Ryan Deakin (Northwestern), 16-1.
Prior to Fresno State: Olivas attended Utah Valley in 2015-16.. posted a 5-1 record on the season competing unattached while redshirting... went a perfect 5-0 en route to a Cowboy Open title.Â
High School: Earned CIF State Medalist honors twice finishing third at 138 lbs as a senior in 2015... claimed fourth place at 113 lbs. as a sophomore in 2013... 2015 Folkstyle All-American... four-year letter winner at Clovis High School under coaches Adam and Steve Tirapelle.
Personal:Â Son of Kelvin and Gina Olivas ... has two siblings Kallee and Dakota ... majoring in communication at Fresno State ...
Coach Steiner's comments: "Khristian, also from Clovis High, is a team guy and will be a student-athlete that we build the team around. He is liked by everyone, but don't kid yourself this guy can wrestle. He has great explosion and scrambling ability. He will help lead this team next year."
