The 'Dogs collected six wins over two duals last Saturday winning four matches against North Dakota State and two more versus California Baptist as Hunter Drury earned two wins and also got a victory from Anthony Molton, DJ Lloren, Kyle Parco and Hunter Cruz.
'Dogs in the national rankings
Two Bulldogs are in the national rankings as Lloren checks in No. 13 by FloWrestling, InterMat and The Open Mat and is No. 15 by Trackwrestling. Cruz checks in at No. 30 at 184 pounds by The Open Mat.
Fresno State in Big 12 action
Fresno State, who is 22-38 overall in dual action over the last three-plus seasons, is 9-14Â in Big 12 action over that span and wrestles three Big 12 duals this weekend before closing out conference action next weekend against Oklahoma.
'Dogs series vs. opponents
The Bulldogs are 2-2 against Air Force and are coming off an exciting 19-18 win over the Falcons on Senior Day last season. This will be the 'Dogs first meeting ever against the Mountaineers and lead the series, 4-3 over the Bears with three straight wins coming over the last three seasons.
The 'Dogs won its first-ever Big 12 dual in Greeley on Jan. 26, 2018 and also won on the road in 2018-19 before winning 25-15 at the Save Mart Center last season.
A look at the Falcons
Air Force enters Saturday's dual with a 0-3 mark in duals with all three duals being Big 12 contests falling to South Dakota State, Oklahoma State and Wyoming.
The Falcons, who placed 12th at the Big 12 Championship a year ago, have four wrestlers in the national rankings with junior 133-pounder Jared Van Vleet being the highest at No. 16 by Trackwrestling.
A look at the Mountaineers
West Virginia, who will wrestle at Wyoming on Saturday morning before heading to Greeley, are 5-2 in dual action and are coming off a 25-11 upset win over previously-ranked No. 17 Northern Colorado at home last Sunday.
The Mountaineers are led redshirt junior Noah Adams who is ranked No. 1 at 197 pounds and currently on a 39-match winning streak. Freshman Peyton Hall is the only other ranked Mountaineer at 165 pounds and 6-1 on the season.
A look at the Bears
Northern Colorado is 3-1 in dual action picking up wins over Wyoming, California Baptist and Utah Valley before its loss at West Virginia.
The Bears' lineup features five ranked wrestlers, including its final four weight classes with its highest-ranked grappler being sophomore 133-pounder Mosha Schwartz at No. 7 by InterMat and Trackwrestling.
Former Bulldog Jackson Hemauer, a 2019 NCAA Tournament qualifier at 184 pounds while at Fresno State, has relocated to Northern Colorado and comes in ranked No. 23 at 174 pounds by FloWrestling and Trackwrestling.
