Ryan Mathews has been named the Gobulldogs.com Athlete of the Week for his performance last week against San Jose State where he had 233 yard rushing on only 20 carries. He only played in three quarters and the 233 yards is one short of his career high. Mathews scored one touchdown on a 59-yard run and he continues to lead nation in rushing.
