Paul George, a sophomore guard/forward, averaged 21.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals along with a perfect 4 for 4 clip from the free throw line to lead Fresno State in its holiday road trip. George started the week with his second-highest scoring performance of his career with 28 points on the road at Montana. He also tallied 10 rebounds for his ninth career double-double and third of the season. George continued his strong defense as he improved his steals per game average with three steals and ranked eighth in the nation in the category in the latest official NCAA statistics release. He tied a career-high with six 3-pointers on ten attempts (60%). Later in the week, George added 15 more points, nine rebounds and tied a career-high with five assists. On the week, he shot 55.2 percent from the field and 47% from beyond the 3-point line. The sophomore, who has started in all 47 games for the Bulldogs in the past two seasons, has reached double figures in scoring in all but one of Fresno State's 13 games this season and averages 17.4 points and 8.2 rebounds in non-conference action. .
