Bhavik Patel Named GoBulldogs.com Athlete of the Week

Bhavik Patel tied for second place at the 2010 Ping Arizona Intercollegiate shooting 10-under par for three rounds (69-65-69-203) and helped lead the Dogs to third place team finish with wins over No. 3 Florida, defending NCAA champion Texas A&M and No. 15 UNLV. Patel, who played the tournament battling food poisoning, posted 18 birdies over the three rounds, seven of those coming over the final four closing holes for the tournament. Rick Safarian of host Arizona one the tournament at 13-under par and was the only other player in the field with three straight rounds in the 60s.
